5 hour tour to Mirador –sometimes with view to Volcano Arenal and lake-
It was very fun and pleasant! I enjoyed talking and riding with you. You helped me canter which was very fun. The horses were very cute and nice. (Kate)
Sabine, this was a wonderful magical day. Riding through the mist in the cloud forest is an unforgettable experience and will surely be the high print of Kate’s and my trip to Costa Rica.
May all your dreams come true and may always continue to grow and learn and enjoy your wonderful “dancing” Apache. (Leslie)

3 hour tour in Monteverde’s cloud forest and farmland. Lots of views of Peninsula Nicoya, sometimes covered in clouds:
This was the first time I was not afraid on a horse! I had a wonderful time. I loved riding through the forest and the views were fantastic. This is a beautiful country.
Thank you Sabine. (Liss)
Thanks for taking me and my mom horse riding, it was a lot of fun, especially the galloping.
I’ll try to keep doing it when I get back home.

Sabine, I had a really great time working with the horse (Bodine). I learned more in those 4 hours than I have working in riding camps. You are great, see you later. Love you. Anna McMillan; NC, USA; 10.07.2000
Sabine, I had a lot of fun on our horse ride. I think the horses should run and never trot.
Thanks for everything. Molly Rushing; NC, USA; 10.07.2002

Sabine, thanks so much for helping me! My horse was the wild one who ran off. I had a great time, though!! Thanks. McKenzie
Hi Sabine, you are really great and you look very graceful when you ride horses. I liked how you talked to us while we were riding and let us run. Thanks a lot, Hannah Hunt
Sabine, thanks for the horse riding, I really enjoyed it. I hope next time I will be able to go faster.

3 hour local tour:
Sabine, I had a wonderful time. The ride was very relaxing. You were patient and so nice. I enjoyed hearing about your experiences here in Costa Rica. At first I was unsure of how I’d do but the more I relaxed and tried connecting with my horse, the more I enjoyed it.
Thank you for the lovely ride. I hope to ride again someday somewhere.

Tour to San Luis Waterfalls:
Dear Sabine, Before today I spent about 12 hours an horses without ever really understanding what it was all about, but because you like people as well as horses, now I do.
Thank you. A lovely day.
Tony
Sabina, we maybe miles apart but my memory of you will remain strong. A princess on her white(ish) horse galloping with the wind blowing through your hair and a smile that melts all hearts. When I close my eyes I will remember the feeling of freedom.
Thank you for everything, I wish you the best of luck. Whenever you come to San Francisco you have a home. Big kisses to Apache.
Take care, Natasha
Sabine, before I met Dorado I was afraid of horses- both you and the horse have made me much more comfortable; in fact now I actually like horses.
Thank you, Luke

wuensche dir viel Glück „and the right feeling“ bei der Gestaltung deines
weiteren Lebensweges.

Tour to San Luis Waterfalls:
Dear Sabine, we loved the ride to the waterfalls! Much better than the forest in Monteverde. The horses were great. Even though Rob has some nasty blisters or hit bottom.
We hope, you’ll have your own horses soon. Then we definitely come back for another ride, hopefully to the volcano.
Thanks for your helpfulness and guiding.

Jim’s first horseback ride started with plenty adventure…:
A really sunny morning and I am going on a horseback ride. Yihaaa. We’re starting with four people. Sabine, who is the guide starts with her new horse and after 10 minutes her horse took of like a racket. The three of us goes further in a nice slow motion so I can get use to this kind of nature traffic. Further on we met Sabine again. She goes further on the horse of her friend who brings the new horse back to the Pension. The horse is not ready yet for guiding a tour. Now the three of us hits the road again. It’s goes up and down hill and that’s already really exciting. We try to cross a stream and one horse get hurt by a rock and the other girl brings the horse back, leaving two people for the tour. Sure it was fun: crossing a little river and speeding up a little. It was really obvious my beautiful horse takes advantage of my unexperience and ease along; but that’s great. The horses are really nice and in a good shape.
I have really learned a lot. Glad though knowing afterwards that the other horse is okay.
It was a nice morning and I will probably feel my butt for a week.
Thank you Sabine for this great experience. You, the horse and the sun made my day!

3-hour local tour:
Sabine, first going out for a joy ride on a beautiful sunny morning, who knew the adventures the day would bring. So along we got cruising smoothly when all of a sudden their you go… Sabine off like a speed car you and Tango. And still you stay on him as if you were safety strapped. My very slow morning horse finally catches up with you and you decide to give Tango a break for the day. And now we continue, ok my were coming upon an obstacle, a creek that is difficult to see how deep but we need to cross. So off we go… Yeah we made it but still were not completely in the clear. My poor sweet horse cut his leg looks much worse than it actually is but I can no longer continue. So I walk him back to the Pension. And this is were the fun ends at least for today, until our next horse journey.
Thank you, Sabine

4-hour tour:
Hola Sabine, I feel honored you have asked me to write a few words in your book, though so you know by now I am not a person of only a few words, I talk all the time!
We had such a beautiful 4hour ride, you on Apache, me on your young Tango and Ryan on Cookie (of Susanna). Apache is a great first horse, he will not doubt be a terrific friend and teacher to you. I felt very honored again that you asked me to ride Tango. Remembering I was a horse trainer back home in Canada. I am very glad I accepted as we all had a really good ride, Tango included, I think we all learned a lot. I am a teacher of horses, not people, so we had a good time too, as you helped Ryan with his riding, he helped exercise Cookie and I helped school Tango. He is a very quick learner, with a very willing and open nature but has to be helped to forget his past and look to you for direction. He has so much potential and with a patient and kind manner/riding style, like you have Sabine, you will make a terrific, well-connected pair!
We all had such a great time, a nice sunny day (too nice, I was red as a lobster) and the scenery was beautiful! We were so lucky with the weather, we could see as far as the Gulf of Nicoya. I am glad you have such good common sense, and helped me help Tango, we were all a very good team! With the way you riding and really connecting with Tango more and more each day, he will be out with you leading trail rides in a short time.
Patience, kindness, love and trust will make you and Tango into a perfectly matched team, keep going!
Thank you and good bless,
Ryan Cowader and Marie Mitchell, 9.10.2000
Sabine, the horse ride this morning was the first time in many years that I have ridden and it was wonderful!!!! I have to admit that I was a bit scared at first, But Apache and I get comfortable with each other after about the first half hour, and he was great! He was very considerate and responsive and I even felt good enough to do some trotting which was something I wouldn’t have thought of doing at the beginning of the tour.
Thank you so much for your help and patience and all the great information about horses and Costa Rica. I fell honored that I got the chance to ride Apache and I hope he enjoyed it as well!
I wish you all the best in your Costa Rica adventure, and lots of fun rides on Apache.
Take care,
Naga, 25.10.2000

Sabine, you are such a beautiful person. You and Brooks really made me feel at home when I arrived at the Pension. I will never forget our horse ride through the beautiful countryside. Thank you so much for sharing your love and knowledge with me regarding horses. I now look at horses differently and with greater respect. Thank you again. I plan to return to Costa Rica in the near future and hope to find you here with all your happy horses! Apache and Tango are very lucky to have you.

First horseback tour with my own horses:
Dear Sabine, here I am hardly able to sit! but very happy about our horseback ride around the area. After seeing a few sad booking horses around Costa Rica, I didn’t think I would ride, but after seeing your passion, love and taking great care of your horses I knew I was in the right place! And the trip started already great seeing a sloth in the tree just 1m in front of us and it being so slow we could really have a good look! Just like a teddy-bear!
So I want to thank you for a wonderful day.

4-hour Tour:
Sabine, this was a day to remember. The view, the horses, the wind, the sun were also beautiful… but your company was better. This time between the Monteverde and the Santa Elena Cloud Forest washed me clean of my worries and relaxed my mind and body (except from my booty).
Thanks for a d… a wonderful memory.
Kevin, NYC, 17.11.2000
We
were so lucky! We had the best weather and saw three big tucans!
Ein
Dank an Sabine fuer den herrlichen Ausritt in die wunderschöne Natur um Santa

My
friends:
Sabine, what a wonderful afternoon we had the pleasure of spending with you! Meandering through the hills surrounding Santa Elena, in and around the coffee plantations, and Cheyenne was a sweetie. Maybe next time you can find the tucans for us. It is so easy to see the love you have for your horses. It shows in everything, in you and I am so happy that you have found this joy. I can see how they care for you as well. I look forward to heading off to Mirador tomorrow on a 3-day trek with Cheyenne, Apache and Tango.
We will have fun.
All my love,
Phyllis
I anxiously await our trip to Mirador on our three day jaunt. Apache and I look forward to lots of laughs with Cheyenne and the frisky Tango. I fell this will be our highlight of “The Rich Coast”. Your horses are beautiful creatures and it is plain to see they are a reflection of you!!
I am very impressed with all you have accomplished in your short stay (thus far) in Monteverde. It is important that you, too, see this. All you do will be successful.
Thanks so much for everything, hospitality, the horse play, and… friendship!

Sabine, what can I say- I rode a horse in almost ten years and to ride your horses was an absolute pleasure! Despite my nervousness first on Cheyenne, then the switch to Chocolate, it was a beautiful ride, gorgeous views, excellent company, and sweet horses. The fall of Chocolate at the end was such a pleasure too! Just a scratch and a bruise, nothing too bad.
Thank you again and a pleasure to meet you!

I never expected the the
ride to be so exciting and challenging. Thanks!
